Movements are a post-hardcore band from Rancho Santa Margarita, California, formed in 2015. The band was signed to a record contract with Fearless Records after playing just one show in 2015. They have released an EP, Outgrown Things in 2016 and an album, Feel Something in 2017. Feel Something peaked at 190 on the Billboard 200 charts. Influenced by bands such as Title Fight and Balance and Composure, vocalist Patrick Miranda formed a garage band with friends in high school.
Turnover is an American rock band from Virginia Beach, Virginia. Formed in 2009, the band is signed with the Run for Cover Records label. Turnover has released three albums, two EPs and a handful of singles. Turnover began in 2009. In 2012, they signed to Run for Cover Records.
If it weren’t for the fact that both Miri and Mattie were each the tokenized female (and queer) members of their respective bands, Queen of Jeans may have never existed. Their mutual frustration became the glue that bonded them together, and gave them a chance to finally create the kind of music they wanted to make, inspired by both their experiences plus a wide range of artists like St. Vincent, Camera Obscura, and Fiona Apple. And after months of “casually online-dating drummers,” they found their unicorn in Patrick Wall, who brings a unique pop rhythm to their stylistically-varied sound.
